The unidentified driver's Nissan Murano slammed into a Honda Accord at the corner of Paramus Road and West Ridgewood Avenue around 2:15 p.m. Friday.
Paramus firefighters and EMS workers extricated the man, who was taken by the EMS unit to The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood.
His condition couldn't immediately be determined.
A passing Valley Hospital EMS unit also stopped to assist, responders said.
